💧 Where does my money go?

100% of your donation goes directly to water projects in Chad. Our operating costs are covered separately by a group of dedicated private supporters. Every dollar you give funds well drilling, solar water systems, and clean water infrastructure. No overhead, no admin fees — just water.

🔧 How are the wells maintained?

Each well is maintained by a trained local committee in the village. We provide initial training on maintenance and repair. Our team also conducts regular follow-up visits to ensure the wells remain functional. We use GPS tracking and photo documentation to monitor every well we build.

💰 How much does a well cost?

A complete water well costs approximately $2,500. This covers drilling, materials, pump installation, and community training. Each well provides clean water to an entire village — typically 300-500 people — for years to come.

🧾 Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes! Water4Chad, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 84-3980489). All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by U.S. law. You will receive a donation receipt for your tax records.

📍 Where exactly do you work?

We work across Chad, focusing on communities with the greatest need. Our 134+ wells are spread across multiple regions including N’Djamena, Kanem, Massakory, Moundou, Amdjarass, and refugee camps like Kobé. Each project is selected based on need, accessibility, and community engagement.

🌍 Can I visit and see the wells?

Yes! We welcome donors who want to visit Chad and see the impact firsthand. Contact us through our contact page to arrange a visit. We can coordinate logistics and guide you to the communities you’ve helped.

🔄 Can I set up a recurring donation?

Monthly giving is coming soon! We’re setting up recurring donations through our new payment system. In the meantime, you can donate as often as you’d like through our donate page. Even $25/month can fund a well in less than 9 months.

📊 How do I know my donation was used properly?

Transparency is our core value. Every well is documented with GPS coordinates, photos before and after, and community reports. We share updates on our blog and social media. You can track exactly where your money went and the lives it changed.

🏢 Can my company sponsor a well?

Absolutely! Corporate sponsors can fund one or more wells in their company’s name. We provide a full impact report with photos, GPS location, and the number of beneficiaries. Contact us to discuss corporate partnership opportunities.
