Water4Chad, Inc. (“Water4Chad”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Water4Chad WhatsApp chatbot (“the Chatbot”).
This Privacy Policy explains how information is processed when you communicate with the Water4Chad Chatbot through WhatsApp.
- Information we process
When you contact the Chatbot, we may process:
- Your WhatsApp phone number and WhatsApp account identifiers provided by WhatsApp.
- The messages and information you voluntarily send to the Chatbot.
- Your selected conversation language (French or English).
- Technical information necessary to receive and respond to WhatsApp messages.
Please do not send sensitive personal information through the Chatbot unless it is necessary for your request.

We use this information to:
- Receive and respond to your WhatsApp messages.
- Provide general information about Water4Chad and its activities.
- Maintain your selected conversation language during the conversation.
- Direct questions requiring specific technical, financial, project, or location information to the Water4Chad team.

- Third-party services
The Chatbot uses third-party services to operate.
WhatsApp and Meta Platforms provide the messaging infrastructure used to send and receive messages.
OpenAI provides the artificial intelligence service used to generate certain Chatbot responses. Information necessary to generate a response may be sent to OpenAI through its API.
These services may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.
- Data storage
The current Chatbot application does not maintain a database of WhatsApp conversation histories.
The application temporarily maintains a user’s selected language in memory so that the conversation can remain in French or English.
Information may also be processed or retained by WhatsApp, Meta, OpenAI, hosting providers, or other service providers according to their applicable policies and terms.
- Data sharing
We do not sell personal information.
Information may be shared with or processed by service providers when necessary to operate the Chatbot, including Meta/WhatsApp, OpenAI, and the hosting infrastructure used to operate the application.
- Data deletion requests
You may request deletion of personal information processed by Water4Chad in connection with the Chatbot.

- Children’s privacy
The Chatbot is not intended to collect personal information from children. Please do not provide personal information about a child through the Chatbot unless you are authorized to do so.

- Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our Chatbot, services, or data practices change. The updated version will be published on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
